Sean McGould

President
Co‑Chief Investment Officer

The founder of Lighthouse Investment Partners, Sean McGould is responsible for overall portfolio construction and day‑to‑day operations of the firm. He is Chairman of the Lighthouse Executive Committee and of the Lighthouse Investment Committee; he is also a member of the Board of Directors of HFA Holdings Ltd., the firm’s parent company.

Prior to founding Lighthouse, Sean was Director of the Outside Trader Investment Program for Bermuda‑based Trout Trading Management Co., where he was responsible for the allocation of several hundred million dollars of the fund’s assets to external alternative asset strategies. Prior to joining Trout, Sean worked for Price Waterhouse in auditing and corporate finance. He graduated with high honors from Butler University with a B.S. in Accounting.

Kelly Perkins

Co‑Chief Investment Officer

Kelly Perkins is an original principal of Lighthouse; he is currently responsible for managing the Lighthouse Investment Team and overseeing the manager search, monitoring, and selection processes. He is a member of the Lighthouse Executive Committee and the Lighthouse Investment Committee.

Previously, Kelly was Director of Accounting at Bermuda‑based Trout Trading Management Co., where he was primarily responsible for financial reporting and controls for the fund’s proprietary and external manager trading activities. Before that, Kelly worked with a team of analysts and attorneys in Trout’s Outside Traders Investment Program to allocate capital to external investment advisors. Before he joined Trout, Kelly served as a business associate with Coopers & Lybrand, LLP. Kelly earned a B.B.A. in Accounting at the College of William and Mary. He is a CFA charterholder and a former Certified Public Accountant.

Robert Swan

Chief Operating Officer

An original principal of Lighthouse, Robert Swan is responsible for managing the Lighthouse Operations Department. He is Chairman of Lighthouse’s Risk and Valuation Committee and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Robert was previously the Senior Treasury Consultant for Computer Sciences Corp., where he provided treasury and risk management system implementations. Before that, he was Director of Accounting for Trout Trading Management Co., based in Bermuda. At Trout, he was directly responsible for monitoring and reporting on all fund trading activities—including financial reporting, internal control, regulatory compliance and general due diligence, as well as management of Trout’s many brokerage and external investment advisor relationships. Robert began his career in audit practice at Ernst & Young. He earned his B.A. in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a former Certified Public Accountant.

Scott Perkins

Executive Managing Director

An original principal of Lighthouse, Scott Perkins is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and oversees a range of its business activities, including firm‑wide strategy, product and business development, investor relations, technology, and legal and compliance.

Prior to joining Lighthouse in 2001, Scott worked in business development with a publicly traded technology firm, where he was responsible for business strategy, including negotiating joint venture relationships with industry leaders, and evaluating equity investment opportunities. Previously, he served as a corporate attorney specializing in corporate and banking transactions with the law firm of Mays & Valentine, LLP. A former Certified Public Accountant, he began his career at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP. Scott earned his B.B.A. in Accounting from the College of William & Mary and his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law.

Jack Swan

Executive Managing Director

Jack is an original principal of Lighthouse and is responsible for managing the global distribution of Lighthouse Funds. Jack began his career in the capital markets working for Trout Trading Management Company, Ltd. (“Trout”) based in Bermuda. Prior to working at Trout, Jack was a financial consultant for Merrill Lynch. Jack received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Georgia.
